I am ~24 weeks along today and thought I’d share how I’ve hacked my maternity style so far with mostly pre-pregnancy/non-maternity clothes and a few must-have maternity items. This being my first pregnancy, I had no idea how much of my closet I would still be able to wear, and friends and family varied widely in how much they spent and which maternity pieces they deemed necessary. This is the guide I wish I had as a first-time preggo, and I hope it will inspire you to maximize your pre-pregnancy wardrobe or purchase pieces that you can continue wearing postpartum.
I can go on and on about how Philly’s food and coffee scene are underrated, and y’all know I have an ongoing hashtag #phillynooks that I update periodically to highlight this great city I now call home.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I DIYed my engagement shoot makeup and wanted to share the full product list that helped me achieve my lEwK~!
This list of black stationery designers and black-owned print shops was initially compiled for a follower who asked me for recommendations as she takes the 15 percent pledge to intentionally include black-owned businesses in her shopping. I’m sharing it here too (and will continue to update it as a live document) because I think it’s imperative that we continue to share and support black-owned businesses well beyond this week, especially in graphic design, where only 3% of the industry is black (according to this 2019 design census).
These are not your mama’s puzzles.
This is the comprehensive post on the various pieces of our home decor and furniture that I get the most questions about! All products are linked, and I will do my best to keep this list up to date.
In light of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, I wanted to share seven ways you can be more sustainable every day.
Today I’m sharing a roundup of my favorite house slippers because what are shoes. My feet are perennially cold, and wearing a pair of slippers around the house has made a huge difference, not just for me but for my spouse whose back I use to warm them up before I go to sleep.
Sephora is having their semi-annual Beauty Insider sale, so I’m sharing my holy grail skincare, makeup, and hair products!
Cozy yet chic loungewear sets I’m loving.
I hope this post finds you and your loved ones well. I know it’s been a crazy few weeks, but I’ve been finding comfort in maintaining a routine, which includes getting dressed for the day. I threw together a few comfy WFH outfits from Everlane, since they’re having a site-wide sale this week, and I hope it can add some creative inspiration to your day.
As the weather warms up, I’ve been transitioning out of my winter skin care routine and simplifying it.
Due to the coronavirus, a record number of people are on extended WFH for the first time, so I’m sharing some tips as someone who’s been (happily) working from home the past 4 years:
I love a good 90s-inspired trend , so on this week’s round up, I’m sharing my favorite strappy heeled sandals in anticipation of spring.
One of the questions I get asked most through Instagram DM and email is what my go-to tools and materials are for my various product offerings. Here is the comprehensive list that covers everything I use for envelope addressing to my hand-painted banners.
For this week’s round up, I’m sharing 18 sculptural vases I’m loving.
We traveled to Austin, Texas this Christmas for a family wedding. We had a blast spending quality time with family and exploring the quirky land of breakfast tacos and barbecue. Here’s a list of things we did that I would highly recommend to anyone who’s planning a trip!
For this week’s round up, I’m sharing my favorite modern floor mirrors.
We finished our road trip through the Southwest at Zion National Park. We saw plenty of red rock on our trip, but Zion’s chiseled vermillion canyons were unrivaled in their majesty.
We wanted our engagement shoot to capture what a regular weekend date looks like for us, so we hit up a coffee shop, strolled through the beautiful streets near Rittenhouse, and explored one of our favorite parks (and best kept secrets!), Penn Treaty Park.
In my ongoing effort to share more sustainable brands with you, I wanted to do a quick review of a couple of dresses I got from Reformation.
Today I’m rounding up my favorite bucket hat outfits from last year.
On this week’s round up, I’m sharing my favorite casual and dressy mules for the spring/summer.
Every winter I dress like a #stickofbutter, and this winter was no different.
I’ve been incorporating more separates into my closet in my ongoing effort to maximize the mileage I get out of each and every piece in my wardrobe. Here are a few of the many ways I’ve worn some matching separates this year, incorporating them into everything from casual everyday outfits to black tie affair appropriate looks.
Today I am sharing my everyday makeup routine because this is a request I get a lot more often than I expected (my expectation being never), especially after I did my own makeup for my engagement shoot and wedding. As I mentioned in my skincare post, I prefer my everyday makeup to be pretty minimal, and this is what I have found works for my face. When I was trying to hack my own wedding makeup, I know how helpful it was to get product recommendations from other Asian women with similar facial features, so while I am by NO means a makeup guru (I only started wearing makeup after college), I hope this post is informative and helpful!
After about the fiftieth person asked me why I left law school, I resolved to write up my reasons (and reflections in hindsight) one day, print copies, and keep them on me at all times to hand out like business cards. I’m only half joking.
I am still learning and by no means am I perfectly green in my shopping habits, but one thing I want to say is that being more eco-conscious as a consumer doesn’t necessarily mean we have to shell out all our money for a new closet filled with ethical, sustainable brands.
I know that can be expensive, and not everyone is in a place to pay $200 for a top. Especially with the holidays coming up, I think we can focus on shopping less overall—getting as much wear out of the pieces we already have and not falling into the trap of mistaking a want for a need, even if that “must-have” piece is 50% off.
