Holy Grail Products to Shop From Sephora's Spring Sale

Sephora is having their semi-annual Beauty Insider sale, going on now through 5/1 for Rouge members, 4/21-4/29 for VIBs, and 4/23-4/27 for Insiders. You can receive anywhere from 10-20% off your entire order based on your Insider status, so I always wait for this sale to stock up on my beauty faves. Most of my tried and true holy grail products never go on sale otherwise, so it’s worth the wait for me.

My skincare routine and product recommendation posts are among my most popular blog posts, so I thought I’d share what’s in my cart!

For reference, my skin is eczema prone, combination, sensitive skin, so I had to go through many duds to find products that don’t give my skin a reaction or breakout. I also share some hair products that work with my thick, partially colored hair.

Without further ado, here is my spring skin care routine. For those who are new here, my skin is dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone.

  1. SK II ESSENCE

I’ve used this toner for the past two years, and while my wallet cries a little every time I have to order more, it’s worth the investment if you want to add a healthy glow to your skin and even out your tone. It’s the first thing I put on my face after cleansing morning and night.

  2. SUNDAY RILEY POWER COUPLE

I’ve been using this power duo consisting of an AHA treatment and night retinol oil for almost two years now. It is also not cheap but worth the investment if you’re looking to add a skin exfoliant and retinol to your routine. I apply at night only to minimize skin sensitivity during the day.

  3. WATERMELON SLEEPING MASK

  4. SUPERFOOD ANTIOXIDANT MASK

I’ve searched far and wide for face masks that my skin doesn’t hate, and these are it.

  5. SQUALANE BALANCING SERUM

A little bit goes a long way! This face oil can also be used as a spot treatment on breakouts.

  6. VITAMIN C SERUM

This is a relatively new product that debuted in September of last year, so I’ve only been using it for the past few months, but I like that it isn’t sticky like other Vitamin C serums. It has a lovely smell and leaves my skin feeling extra bright and dewy in the morning.

  1. RADIANCE PRIMER

This primer does double duty with SPF and a dewy finish (no glitter!). Great as a base or worn alone on minimal days.

  2. CC CREAM WITH SPF 50+

My favorite CC cream! Very light weight and medium coverage. I wear the Light Medium shade.

  3. SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION

I rarely wear foundation, but when I do (like for my wedding!), I wear this one. I wear the Barcelona shade.

  4. RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER

No creasing or flaking! I wear the Custard shade.

  5. PRESSED HIGHLIGHTER

A little goes a long way! I used to wear the moonstone shade but have since transitioned to the champagne pop. Both worked well against my skin, but the champagne pop looks a little more natural.

  6. EYESHADOW PRIMER

Minimizes eyeliner and eyeshadow smudging without drying out my lids. I use the original shade.

  7. BRICK HIGHLIGHTER

A beautiful highlighter palette that I apply to the usual spots as well as my lids in lieu of eyeshadow. I have the bronze palette.

  8. TINTED LIP BALM

MLBB. My favorite shade is the Sugar Rosé Tinted.

  9. WATERPROOF EYELINER

I have used both the Intense Black and Dark Brown shades but prefer the Dark Brown for a more natural look.

  10. EYELASH CURLER

The only eyelash curler that fits my almond eyes.

  11. SETTING SPRAY

The final step in my makeup routine. I found that setting powders are too mattifying, but this spray leaves a nice natural finish.

  1. curling iron (1.25”)

A perfectly sized barrel for a natural wave. If you want a tighter curl, go for the one inch barrel.

  2. hair dryer

  3. SHampoo (and conditioner)

  4. dry shampoo

I tried many a dry shampoo before landing on this one. It blends well, smells nice, and leaves my coarse hair soft but not greasy.

  5. olaplex hair treatment

I learned about this treatment from my hairdresser because that’s what she uses to give my mop some TLC after a balayage. I use it once a month, and it’s helped with dryness and breakage.

  6. hair oil
